Hi, I’m Alexandra Lucia Nungaray (formerly Carbajal), the attorney behind Nungaray, Attorney at Law.

I’m a first-generation Latina who believes deeply in the power of education, service, and access to justice especially for underserved communities. I opened this law firm to give individuals, families, and business owners a space where they feel heard, informed, and empowered.

My academic background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accountancy, a Juris Doctorate (JD), and an LLM in Taxation. I am a licensed attorney, as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and I also hold an active real estate license.

Before starting my firm, I proudly worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for five years. I served across multiple departments including White Collar Crime, Gang & Violence Investigations, Legal Review, and Financial Management. During that time, I earned three promotions and received several commendations and awards.

In addition to my legal and accounting experience, I also hold a real estate license and have personally flipped properties, giving me a unique understanding of real estate transactions, contracts, liens, and the financial side of ownership. This knowledge enhances the way I handle matters such as mechanic’s liens, property disputes, and HOA-related issues.

That experience sharpened my skills in investigation, legal analysis, ethics, and case strategy, which I now bring to my legal practice.

Today, I also teach Business and Commercial Law at the university level, helping the next generation of professionals understand how law interacts with finance and real-world business decisions.

My goal as your attorney is simple: to make the law approachable, strategic, and rooted in trust. I offer services in both English and Spanish, and I’m especially passionate about helping underserved communities navigate legal and financial systems that can feel overwhelming.

Outside of work:

I’m a proud mom of two young boys and love spending time with my family. I enjoy traveling, and even though I’m from Colorado, I’ll admit—I’m not the biggest outdoors person! As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, I find deep joy in spending time with my congregation and teaching in my ministry. For me, conducting business with integrity and honesty isn’t just a professional standard, it’s a core belief rooted in my heart and faith.
